Mashgin, a provider of a touchless self-checkout kiosk, has saved National Football League fans more than 3.5 million minutes of waiting in line, the equivalent of 6.5 years of game time in the 2022 season.

SELF-CHECKOUT machines are set for a major technological overhaul as new equipment is set to speed up the process by 400 percent.

The partnership enables retailers who use Mashgin to seamlessly equip their point of sale with Shift4 payment processing — and it also allows stadiums, retailers, and other businesses who use Shift4 to drastically reduce checkout lines.

Texas State University Dining and management company Chartwells Higher Ed took self-checkout to the next level with a new AI-powered checkout system.

The new self-checkout kiosks at Palisades Tahoe, Big Bear Mountain Resort and Mammoth Mountain in California and Winter Park Resort in Colorado, enable customers to check out in seconds.
